More Everyday Makeup

Here are a few more pictures of classy everyday makeup!

My focus was just to stay natural and enhance her natural beauty.  Flawless finish on her foundation, two to three colors on the eye, mascara, defining the brow shape, touch of color on the cheek, either a shine or little color to the lips.

Everyday Classy Makeup

Here are some pictures of classy makeup for professional work or everyday fun!

Fashion Makeup

For Fashion Makeup you just need to have an idea of your muse and what the look is supposed to be.  For the first photo the muse was Vidal Sassoon and the lower pictures were from Trevor Sorbie.  We researched photos from both talented hair gurus.  We saw how make up was done for Vidal's fashion shows with certain hair styles and just duplicated from that era.  For Trevor Sorbie, we researched that he made wigs for women who had under gone chemotherapy and had lost their hair.  For our wig model, we created the breast cancer pink ribbon and wanted her face/makeup to represent that she had cancer and chemotherapy.  I completely covered her brows w/ concealer and used the concealer on mascara wands to try to erase her eyelashes.  I used very pale, matte foundation to give her a little "sick" look to her skin but keeping it flawless.  Lastly, I used a nice pink lip color to match her ribbon and gown she was wearing.

Photography Makeup

Photography makeup needs to be bold and usually matte works better.  For Holly I wanted to just enhance her features and play off her natural beauty.
Eyes:  I used Aveda's Aqua Pearl trio shadows.  I stacked all three colors to show that you can wear all three at one time.  The yellow shade is applied underneath the brow, the lighter green color is placed in the crease and the darker green on her lid b/c she has a classic eye shape.  I used Aveda's black pencil on the upper lid only.  Then applied Aveda's black Mosscara to both upper and lower lashes.  For her brows I used Aveda's Petal Essence Gobi Sand-Haze Eye Color Duo with an Aveda angle brush.  Haze is a wonderful light brown shade for blonds.
Face:  I applied Aveda's Inner Light Tinted Moisture in Birch.  Next I applied Aveda's Inner Light Mineral Dual Foundation in Cream all over the tinted moisture to give her a full coverage, matte finish.
Cheeks:  I used Aveda's Uruku Bronzer in Amazonia on the apples of her cheeks and cheek bones.
Lips:  I used Aveda's lip pencil in Maple to fill in her lips completely.  Then I applied Aveda's Lip Tint in Copper to give her some moisture.  Then I applied a little of Aveda's Lip Glaze in Mango Juice for a final shimmery glaze look for photography.

Smokey Eye

For this smokey eye, I wanted to demonstrate that you can use color and still have a smokey look.
Eyes:  I used Aveda's Aqua Pearl shadow trio.  There is a yellow shade I used under the brow and a bright, bolder green I used for my green color.  To help the green shadow pop more, I used Aveda's black pencil liner smudged first before applying my shadow.  Aveda has a new shadow transformer that is a liquid you dip your brush into and it also allows for a brighter, bolder application of the colors you choose.  I lined the inside of both upper and lower lids w/ Aveda's black pencil and then applied Aveda's black Mosscara to both upper and lower lashes.  Brows are filled in w/ Aveda's angle brush and Aveda's earthen shadow.
Foundation:  I used Aveda's tinted moisturizer in Beechwood all over to help with a dewy look and to provide SPF 15.  Next I used Aveda's Inner Light mineral pressed powder in cream to help w/ the oily Tzone. The pressed powder is an oil absorbing powder w/ a slight shimmer.
Lips:  I chose a pale pink lip to keep the focus on the smokey eyes and to stay with the cool theme.  I used Aveda's Crushed Carob liner with the Aveda's grapefruit pulp lip shine over top.
Cheeks:  I wanted a really light cheek, but wanted to stay cool and pale pink to go with the flow of the lip.  I used Aveda's Plum Touch trio.  I used the two lightest colors only to keep the cheek pale and light.

Another beautiful bride - bridal makeup

For this bride, I wanted the main focus to be how powerful and beautiful her eyes are.  It was also very important that her foundation finish was as flawless as possible.  Since the focus was her eyes, I wanted her lips to be a pale/nude lip pencil w/ a little gloss over top.
Eyes:  thick Aveda black pencil on upper lid w/ black liner on inner lower lid.  Covered her entire lid w/ Aveda's moon shadow, Aveda's spark shadow on lid, Aveda's desert bronze shadow in crease, Aveda's illumination shadow under brow.  I used an Aveda angle brush and Aveda's earthen shadow to fill in her brow shape.  Lashes, I used Diorshow mascara in black.
Foundation:  Concealed a few spots first w/ KatVonD's tattoo cover up concealer.  Smoothed on a wonderful Laura Mercier foundation w/ a wedge sponge.
Cheeks:  lightly dusted a Bare Minerals bronzer just on her cheek bones staying away from the nose.
Lips:  Lined her entire lips in Aveda's Crushed Carob liner.  Next added Aveda's honeysuckle lip shine.
